The village of Arbanassi is 4 km northeast of Veliko Turnovo under whose jurisdiction it is and 4 km southeast of the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa. The west access to the village is from Veliko Turnovo and Gorna Oryahovitsa and the east access is from Lyaskovets and the Sofia-Varna motorway. Arbanassi stands on a 400-meter high limestone plateau from the Lower Cretaceous period and stretches over some 6 kilometers in a northwest-southeast direction at an altitude of 400 meters.
The arable land is 200 hectares; the pastureland is 600 hectares. The vegetation comprises shrubs and low-growing deciduous tree species that are typical of the foothills of mountains and afforested belts of pine trees. The climate is temperate continental. The winters are bleak; the summers are dry and with cool wind; the weather in spring and autumn is mild. The plateau is a meeting place of winds. Gray and light forest and stony soils predominate.
