This volume tackles two problems. The first is the historical framework of imperialism (the Christian evangelization movement in China). Along with the missionary action, which the authors believe led to a true Christian experience. Also covered in this work is a specific study of both Chinese Protestants and Roman Catholics among the Chinese Hakka minority. Special attention is paid to the converts among the inhabitants of North China. Other studies focus on Taiwan and Indonesia.
