This is a Ph.D. dissertation. This text was written in 1564, and gives the view of King Erik XIV of Sweden (1560-68) on the prehistory of what is referred to as the Nordic Seven Years' War (1563-70). This is the first edition of the complete text, and the first ever critical edition. The Latin text is accompanied by an English translation, a commentary, and a glossary.
