The author reports on the declining employment integration of immigrant men and women in Sweden using cross-sectional and longitudinal data. The book explores the idea that the gradual decline in immigrant employment had its roots in the structural change of the Swedish economy. These changes towards flexible work organizations and teamwork led to an increase in the demand for labor with language and Swedish-specific skills.
