Western mathematical is based on Arabic numerals and calculations, and the first effective medical school in Europe was founded by Jewish doctors who had been trained in Moorish Spain and North Africa. This World and the significant role that Muslims have played in the advancement of knowledge.

About the Author

S M Hasan is MA (Arabic) and PhD (Theology) and his Area of specialisation is Ethics, Philosophy of Science, Logic and Muslim Philosophy. He has attended many seminars and conferences on Islam related topics. He is a Counsellor and Co-ordinator of Refresher Course and is presently member of religious organisations.
