In many of the studies takes on Jan Joosten peculiarities in the language of the Septuagint, a theory on the particular nature and relates to the linguistic phenomenon of historical, exegetical or theological issues. In other texts he treats methods trouble example of a historical background of the different text versions of their connection to the Hebrew source text and its theology. Total Jan Joosten makes this band an important contribution to current debates on some of the ancient Greek translation of the Bible. Above all, the question of who the translator and what were their motives, is viewed from different angles.
