This Tool Annex is the second part of the 'Equality Guide: HR Instruments for Equal Opportunities at Universities'.

At Flemish and at European universities in general, women rarely reach the top. That is why five of the six Flemish universities - Free University of Brussels, Ghent University, Catholic University of Leuven, University of Hasselt and University of Antwerp - joined forces to create an 'Equality Guide' with this Tool Annex. Each university chose a different HR topic to work on. The VUB prepared a module on personnel development and organizational culture; (1) the UGent on the whole career; (2) the K.U.Leuven on career management; (3) the UA on science communication; (4) and the UHasselt on mentoring. Each of these modules take up a chapter in the equality opportunities and Human Resource management. Each chapter of the Guide contains a description of case studies carried out at the different universities. Principle target audience are policy makers at universities - and beyond - in Europe.
