One of the main features of the current historical Jesus research is an attempt to Jesus within Judaism in the first Century to position. Comparatively little attention has been given to the question of whether or how ever fits the image of Jesus within the Jewish context also to the historical influence and reception of Jesus in Early Christianity and contribute. Tom Holmén advocates that the Christian reception history of Jesus an appropriate role in the research receives. Scrutiny of the reception should not be considered only as an adjunct to a more careful study of the role of Jesus within Judaism. Instead, the reception should be given just as much attention and they should be an integral part of scientific research. Jesus should therefore no longer be studied in Judaism, but in continuity from early Judaism to early Christianity.
