This is the new issue of "Nanoscience and Nanotechnology: Nanostructured materials application and innovation transfer". It contains the contributions of the 8th Workshop "Nanoscience and Nanotechnology", November 20-22, 2006, Sofia, Bulgaria. Organizer of the regular workshops "NANO" is the National Coordination Council on Nanotechnology (ex-National Expert Council on Nanotechnology), Bulgaria.

During the info day, information about the possible participation in the 7FP of EU was discussed. Dr. R. Frycek, of Unit RTD-G4: Nano S&T and Converging Science and Technologies - EC, Brussels, as well as Bulgarian representatives from Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Defense, and Ministry of Economics and Energy presented the contributions on the subject.
