Timo Eskola focuses on the meta-narrative of exile and restoration, arguing on this basis that a post-liberal, narrative theology of the New Testament is both consistent and informative. The author combines a post-New Quest perspective on Jesus with the eschatological reading of the letters of Paul and thus represents that the criticism that Jesus practiced at the temple, is aimed at the eschatology of the Restoration.
