Description:
The current debate about the origin of the Pentateuch has increasingly shown that it has reached its present form only in the post-exilic period when Israel was under Persian and Hellenistic domination later. The classical research of the last 150 years, however looked at the Pentateuch as the incorporation of the so-called Priestly Code, the most recent source signature of the Pentateuch, as terminated. But it has become clear that the Pentateuch also contains texts which already presuppose the Priestly Code, updating it and compensate with existing traditions are looking for. It is these recent editors of the Pentateuch, which are at the center of this band and their analysis and descriptions are an important contribution to the latest pentateuchal.
