The book of Jeremiah's exegetical science subject of intense debate, already due to its textual tradition, because in addition to the Hebrew edition is from ancient times much shorter translation of the Septuagint handed. Furthermore, the book is rich in traces of an eventful redaction criticism, especially in the form of extensive deuteronomistic shares. The present volume contains sixteen studies, in which Hermann-Josef Stipp especially dedicated to these questions. In work on the textual tradition the book of Jeremiah, he deals with the importance of the differences between MT and LXX and the translation technique of LXX. Continues to apply a main focus of the Deuteronomistic editors of the book, including their visibility, functioning, internal stratification, homeland, theological orientation and continuing influence in the wider editorial history of the book.
