Throughout his distinguished career, the late Graham Stanton, Lady Margaret's Professor of Theology at the University of Cambridge, numerous research articles on the New Testament and early Christian themes wrote. This volume contains twenty-six essays, including a previously unreleased, and includes some of his most famous contributions to the research. Towards the end of his life, Stanton wrote a book about Justin the Martyr in the context of the early Christian-Jewish dialogue. Although he was unable to complete before his death, the project itself, he published some preliminary studies. These are included in this volume, as well as an unpublished essay that, Justin's views on martyrdom and suicide 'investigated.
